We’ve been talking a lot about the InPower Family Tree of products over the past couple of months starting with the originator, the VCM, a small but powerful and flexible module. The VCMS gives you the power of 6 VCM modules in one, with many extra benefits like switch panels and programmable logic. But there’s still more power, flexibility, and durability to be found within InPower’s product family tree. Enter our VCMSII and Reflex series of products.
The VCMSII Series
Our VCMSII leaps beyond the power, flexibility, and durability of both the VCM and VCMS. You could say we turned the “II” up to eleven.
The beating heart of the VCMSII series is its Power Module. It has eight power outputs and eight programmable inputs—versus the six outputs and four inputs found in the original VCMS—and durable sealed connections using the Molex MX-150 system, all within a compact aluminum shell. The VCMSII power modules can be installed almost anywhere and run an entire system.
Seriously? Compare how much space the VCMSII takes up versus 8 basic relays for the same power—and don’t forget all the wiring you’ll save!
Just like with the original VCMS, you can control the system with our incredibly flexible switch modules or wire the VCMSII to your own switches and controls. Need a ground-output signal instead? The VCMSII-GM modules program and operate the same way and can be wired into the same system.
While we’re happy to put together a custom system to meet your needs, we understand the importance of taking direct control of the programming yourself. So, as with the VCMS, we can teach you to program your own VCMSII modules to suit your system needs without the high development system and license fee costs of other multiplex packages on the market. To make things even easier, once you know how to program the VCMSII, you can program modules from our Reflex series as well. Keep reading!
The Reflex Series
Our Reflex modules sit neatly between the VCM and the VCMSII. When you find yourself in a situation where you want the programming sophistication of the VCMS but you only need to control a couple of items, this is the series you want to look at. It will give you something more rugged and flexible than the VCM, and, as noted above, the Reflex series is programmable using the same hardware as the VCMSII. Once you learn how to program one of these modules, you will have the ability to program them both. This will let you scale your hardware buys to what you need, when you need it.
The Reflex modules come in several hardware configurations to meet different needs, including ground-output modules and even durable and patented H-Bridge motor drivers.
